ABUJA, Nigeria — Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has ordered the closure of the secretariat of the dissolved Ad-hoc Committee on Sales of Federal Government Houses (SFGH) in the FCT.

The directive was communicated in a statement released on Wednesday by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister.

Wike also approved the establishment of a new division within the FCT administration. This new division is tasked with overseeing the sales of Federal Government Houses, indicating a shift in how these assets will be managed moving forward.

The dissolution of the previous ad-hoc committee and the subsequent closure of its secretariat suggest a comprehensive review of the processes involved in the sales of government properties.
