LAGOS, Nigeria — Nigerian digital payments app Nosh has announced a major expansion of its service lineup, moving beyond its core gift card exchange business to offer a broader suite of personal finance and digital lifestyle tools.

The platform, which initially built its user base by allowing Nigerians to convert unused gift cards into Naira without peer-to-peer haggling, has gradually integrated everyday bill payments, crypto conversions, and international services into a single interface.

According to the company, the expansion was driven by changing user demands and patterns across its customer base. While the app initially paired gift card trading with local utility payments—such as airtime, mobile data, electricity, and cable TV subscriptions—it has now integrated automated cryptocurrency conversions.

Users can now convert major digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Litecoin, and Dogecoin, directly into their Naira wallet balance without dealing with third-party buyers or manual rate negotiations.

In its latest phase of product updates, Nosh has introduced international utility payments covering 136 countries, alongside travel-focused features such as eSIM purchases and flight bookings.

The international bill payment capability allows users in Nigeria and Ghana to settle utility bills—including mobile data, electricity, and internet services abroad—directly using local currencies like Naira or Cedis, with currency conversion processed automatically in the background.

Company leadership noted that these additions are designed to serve remote workers, freelancers, digital nomads, and frequent travelers who regularly manage expenses or family obligations across multiple borders.

As African fintech platforms continue to consolidate services into multi-use super apps, Nosh's recent updates highlight a broader shift toward all-in-one digital wallets catering to both local and international transaction needs.
