PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria — The Rivers State Government has dismissed reports suggesting a new disagreement between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the State House of Assembly regarding the 2026 Appropriation Bill. The government characterized these reports as untrue and deceptive.

According to a statement released by the state's Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, the budget proposal is currently undergoing the standard legislative process.
